A quick and flavorful beef stir fry with baby corn and snow peas, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

- 1½ pounds beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1½ cups baby corn, halved
- 1 cup snow peas
- 1 medium carrot, cut into thin strips
- ½ red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 cup water chestnuts, drained
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Toss beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, vegetable oil, and black pepper.
- Whisk together stir-fry sauce ingredients in a bowl.
- Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Stir-fry beef for 3–4 minutes, then set aside.
- Add vegetables and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Return beef to the skillet.
- Pour in sauce and cook for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly for quick cooking.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for spice preference.
- Use fresh vegetables for best texture.
