- 1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Mix cornstarch with water, then stir into the sauce.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- Serve chicken over cooked white rice.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
- Adjust honey or sugar to taste.
- Serve with steamed vegetables for extra nutrition.
