- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup finely crushed Oreo cookies
- Whole Oreo cookies
- Extra crushed Oreos
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add oil, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in crushed Oreo cookies.
- Fill cupcake liners about ⅔ full.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar.
- Mix in cream and vanilla, then fold in crushed Oreos.
- Frost cooled cupcakes and top with Oreo cookies and crumbs.
