  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup vanilla custard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed berries, chopped strawberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss until the fruit is evenly coated.
  3. Pour the berry mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to work it in until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the berry filling.
  6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berry filling is bubbling around the edges.
  7. Let the crumble rest for 10 minutes before serving.
