Ingredients

  • For the Sausage: 14 oz smoked sausage (sliced), 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp black pepper
  • For the Rotini: 8 oz rotini pasta, 2 tbsp butter, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper, ¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional)
  • For the Carrots: 4 cups sliced carrots, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp brown sugar, ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water and cook rotini as per package instructions. Drain, toss with butter, salt, pepper, and Parmesan. Set aside.
  2. Melt butter with olive oil in a skillet. Add sausage and cook 5–7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in honey, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic powder, and black pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes until glossy.
  4. Simmer carrots with water in a covered saucepan for 8–10 minutes until tender. Drain.
  5. Toss carrots with butter, brown sugar, and salt. Cook 1–2 minutes until glazed.
  6. Plate sausage, rotini, and carrots. Serve warm.
