Description

  • lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup milk or heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water for 15–18 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Add steak to the hot skillet in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Return steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat in garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes if using.
  7. Serve steak bites over mashed potatoes with extra garlic butter sauce spooned on top.
