Description

Crispy tuna patties with a melty cheese center, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (5 oz) cans tuna in water, drained very well
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup finely diced onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or chives)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low carb)
  • 4 oz mozzarella or cheddar cheese, cut into 8 small cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying)

Instructions

  1. Mix tuna, egg, mayo, Dijon, onion, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Stir in breadcrumbs until the mixture holds together. Add more if needed.
  3. Divide into 8 portions. Flatten, place a cheese cube in the center, and form into a patty.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden-brown.
  6. Rest 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use well-drained tuna to prevent soggy patties.
  • Adjust breadcrumbs for desired texture.
  • Lower heat if patties brown too quickly.
