Crispy tuna patties with a melty cheese center, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients

- 2 (5 oz) cans tuna in water, drained very well
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/3 cup finely diced onion
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or chives)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low carb)
- 4 oz mozzarella or cheddar cheese, cut into 8 small cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying)
Instructions
- Mix tuna, egg, mayo, Dijon, onion, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Stir in breadcrumbs until the mixture holds together. Add more if needed.
- Divide into 8 portions. Flatten, place a cheese cube in the center, and form into a patty.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden-brown.
- Rest 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use well-drained tuna to prevent soggy patties.
- Adjust breadcrumbs for desired texture.
- Lower heat if patties brown too quickly.
