A creamy, protein-rich chocolate mousse made with cottage cheese. This no-bake dessert is easy to prepare and perfect for a healthy treat.
Ingredients

- 2 cups cottage cheese (low-fat or full-fat)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2–3 tbsp milk (any kind, to help blend smooth)
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, cocoa powder dusting, chocolate shavings or curls, flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Add cottage cheese, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and milk to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until completely smooth and mousse-like, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Spoon into 2 small dessert glasses or bowls.
- Chill 20–30 minutes for a thicker, fluffier texture (or enjoy right away).
- Top with whipped cream, a dusting of cocoa, and chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
- For extra-deep chocolate flavor, add 1–2 tbsp melted dark chocolate or a pinch of espresso powder.
- Refrigerate covered up to 4 days.
- Great for meal prep; tastes even better after chilling.
