Description

A creamy, protein-rich chocolate mousse made with cottage cheese. This no-bake dessert is easy to prepare and perfect for a healthy treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cottage cheese (low-fat or full-fat)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 23 tbsp milk (any kind, to help blend smooth)
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, cocoa powder dusting, chocolate shavings or curls, flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Add cottage cheese, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and milk to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and mousse-like, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Spoon into 2 small dessert glasses or bowls.
  4. Chill 20–30 minutes for a thicker, fluffier texture (or enjoy right away).
  5. Top with whipped cream, a dusting of cocoa, and chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

  • For extra-deep chocolate flavor, add 1–2 tbsp melted dark chocolate or a pinch of espresso powder.
  • Refrigerate covered up to 4 days.
