  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 small banana, sliced (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate sauce (for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8×4-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir just until combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between two bowls.
  6. Leave one bowl plain. In the second bowl, stir in the cocoa powder, sour cream, and chocolate chips until fully mixed.
  7. Spoon the plain banana batter and chocolate batter alternately into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters together for a marbled effect.
  9. Top with banana slices and extra chocolate chips.
  10. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. Drizzle with chocolate sauce before slicing and serving.
