  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup tomato salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Stir in garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in salsa.
  5. Lay tortillas flat and spoon beef mixture into the center of each tortilla.
  6. Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
  7. Roll tortillas tightly into burritos.
  8. Heat a clean skillet or grill pan over medium heat and toast burritos seam-side down until golden and crispy on all sides.
  9. Slice in half and garnish with chopped herbs before serving.
